  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Bayern were completely outplayed by Leverkusen and looked short of ideas as the league leaders romped to a 3-0 victory. With Bayern already out of the German Cup and with the league title slipping from their grasp, pressure is mounting on Tuchel to turn their fortunes around. However, he has been given a vote of confidence.

    WHAT DREESEN SAID

, Dreesen said: "Nothing has changed [with Tuchel staying].

"We knew it would be a difficult game but now we have to look ahead. Deserved defeat, but we won't give up.“

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Despite heavy investment in the summer, Tuchel's side have struggled for consistency and their usual ruthless edge. Even with a record-breaking Harry Kane in their side, the German champions have been left chasing a still unbeaten Leverkusen. A change of management may have crossed the Bayern hierarchy's minds but they are yet to pull the trigger on Tuchel.

    WHAT NEXT FOR TUCHEL?

Even though he has been given a public vote of confidence, Tuchel will know he and his side have to improve if they are to have even a glimmer of hope of winning the Bundesliga. They switch focus to the Champions League on Wednesday as they face Lazio.
